The story behind it

I sometimes stay in wonder, how the fashion industry changes just fast. It actually changes faster than the world industrial structure. Remember how Coco Chanel made the biggest revolution to woman’s fashion? Well fashion was actually known way back then, but Coco made big changes, making woman able to dress masculine-ly yet still very lady like. Such as wearing pants, in a wide variation of textures and fabrics, like jeans.

New trends are always coming out each season. Which means the people who do and follow it must adapt in the situation. What’s hot and what’s not, what’s yeay and what’s ney. But since it’s a creative industry, ideas come and go every second and that will constantly effect the latest trends seen in runaways.
For those who are passionate and enthusiast finds it as a dreamland, but for those who don’t, it will be like dust particles blown by the wind. These kind of people actually have their own mindset of what shall be their fashion needs. As long as it covers up and comfortable, it’s good to go.

And their choices would go to a fashion item that is universal, unisex, and yet timeless. Who both fashion enthusiasts and who don’t care at all finds it as a fashion “GOD” item. I give my biggest applause to it, and my biggest gratitude to the…. Blue jeans. It has been airing since about a century ago, by the most brilliant innovator. And a century after that (which is now), still being a star. 1 great example is the Levi’s Jeans that has been everyone’s most loyal pal.
Jeans represent democracy in fashion.” – Giorgio Armani

Even the people who don’t do fashion will look after this universal yet timeless fashion item. Not because they’re trendy, but because they’re pretty much “adaptable” and fits in anything just fine. One of the victims of this dreadfully addictive jean is my dad, who was born in the 1960s and until now, still faithful with his. He calls it his “perfect” mate. Well that I can see, from its every stitch that has been reconstructed to make it appear timeless. He’s one of those guys who had made t-shirts as his life savior. So a t-shirt and a blue jean is his daily dose. And well, the jeans DID save him.
Feeling very lucky to be in this era where new innovations are always popping out, now there also dozenzzz of variation of jeans. Like the new Levi’s 501 that I’ve been eyeing on for quite a while, especially the ones in chino, white, and also red. Bold…. Daring…. Colors… Genius! It’s also in many other colors, like green and blue! Very happy to see jeans in such a fun way, but also still in the same great fit but in a lighter weight-shrink-to-fit-twill.

U see how this jean has been passed by from generation to generation? But still made in the spirit of the original (of course with the same care) and its attention to details. Like it was meant to last… It made me somehow feel respectful to this pair of jeans…. Hihi. Soooo that’s why , now, here, I will show my “respect” to this jean by contributing a…… video!

For  those who are fashion forward, like myself, also believe it as an important essential. It’s my daily portion. U might not often see me in them, but honestly, they’re my major breakout for emergencies or just a day at the course. Not just that, they also come in handy for a day out with friends or family. It’s just…..well…. they fit in with anything I weaaaar <3>
U can see how the Levi’s 501 jeans are very flexible, in the meaning, can be paired with anything and still be looking ultra gorg from time to time. And yet still staying true to its core. I bet there are hundredssss of ways to pair up this kind of jeans. From classy to sassy to vintage to grunge to rock to retro to preppy and to chic. Proving time and again over the past 140 years that the original button fly jean is an icon that represents the ultimate expression of individuality and personal style.
