The Scenius Project #01: Portraits of Indonesian Women

The freedom of women is the greatest revolution, not just of our own day, but of all time, since it breaks fetters which are as old as the world.
(Louise Dittmar 1848)
I was inspired by women empowerment in this modern era. It has become a common thing to see the faces of woman in leading positions such as CEOs or even in the government. But i wanted to highlight our women, Indonesian women. Our culture has somehow shaped us into who we are today. It has brought originality to each individual. As i see, no matter how "powerful" we are, we still remain as a woman with our femininity and our beautiful exposure.
I do believe our traditional fashion culture has a lot to do with it. Kebaya, songket, ciput, etcs could expose the beauty of every woman in the most perfect way. It shows beauty, but also power. Being beautiful should not be interpreted as being weak.
So here are the portraits of Indonesian Women, through a perspective.
